Chronic Fatigue, Infection and Other Complaints
Infection and Fatigue
Infection is a priority in the healing of the body. if it is not dealt with it is unlikely anything else will totally resolve. It is deemed more "life threatening" by the body’s healing systems and consequently will remain a block to healing until cleared. Often the infection was found and treated but not totally eliminated. In other words, the patient isn’t acute, but they have a low level of infection all the time, perhaps causing pain or fatigue. The immune system will be activated 24 hours a day to deal with the assault and this wears the person down and is a leading cause of fatigue. Ruling out infection when fatigue is the chief complaint should be step #1.
Natural Substances
The types of infection normally seen include bacteria, virus, parasites, yeast, molds, and fungus. Some of these can cause very acute symptoms or subtler, vague complaints. These different causes require different treatments that are specifically targeted towards them. There are excellent herbs and other natural substances that do a wonderful job of elimination of the infection. Step one is to identify if it is there, and then what to do about it. This obviously takes a qualified practitioner to do this assessment. I believe one of the reasons people get these infections is because their systems are toxic to begin with. A toxic body is conducive to the proliferation of pathogenic micro-organisms. Detoxing the body periodically makes sense. Another reason is immune suppression. There are many reasons for this and that will the the topic of another newsletter.
